I like these looks, aside from Luke’s downright disturbing hat hair.

Relative newcomer Luke and literal newcomer Jaime, the other two confirmed characters at the time of writing, may not have “classic” looks, but they aren’t being left out.Ĭapcom also revealed some street-themed alternate costumes for the Metro City duo. Talk about getting some buffs, am I right? I knew the “new” Guile was absolutely jacked thanks to his reveal trailer, but I didn’t understand just how jacked he was until that jumpsuit came off and those shoulders came out to play.

Ryu and Chun-Li look more or less like updated versions of the characters we’ve come to know and love over the years, but Guile genuinely frightens me. In a recent Twitter post, Capcom revealed classic costumes for Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li, and they are a marvelous merging of what I love about Street Fighter 6‘s visual style and what made these costumes classics. I love the new designs, but I’d be lying if I said the old-school designs didn’t have a special place in my heart.įortunately, Capcom has my back. Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li are all confirmed to be coming back for next year’s title, and they’ve been given some pretty slick makeovers. Better yet, if you check out Game Informer’s “Cover Story” video, you can also glimpse some over-the-shoulder footage of both Chun-Li and Ryu throwing down whilst kitted out in their own classic SFII garb.Three of the five characters Capcom has confirmed for Street Fighter 6 are long-standing fan favorites with a lot of appearances to their names. This cover image marks the first official shot Capcom has released spotlighting a new character model wearing an alternate skin. The newest issue of Game Informer has a stylish cover, which sees the down-and-out millionaire dropping his construction garb and donning his iconic red karate gi. Still, like many fans, I was hoping to see further evidence of some classic (or “nostalgia”) skins, allowing our heroes and villains to rock their more iconic wardrobes.Īnd we have just gotten our first real look of said gear, courtesy of yer boy Ken Masters.

While beauty is, obviously, in the eye of the beholder, I am a huge fan of the character designs for Street Fighter 6 - The underground flavor appeals to me, bringing dazzling life and personality to our posse of World Warriors.
